When I see this piece, I think of a seaside bungalow... Windows open, sea breeze playing with the white linen curtains. It also makes me think of stucco bungalow walls in a Parisian apartment! This piece is monochromatic, yes, but still very interesting. The layers of warm texture are interesting, yet peaceful. If you can't be in a bungalow, bring the bungalow to you!
When I created Blush Bungalow in 2018, I didn't know people would love her as much as I do! But with over 670 reproductions sold, she's become an unexpected fan fave. I wanted to paint a perfect, blushy partner for her – Introducing, Bésame!
stylist's tip! If you can't decide between the two pieces, check out our close up details of the paintings. Bésame is painted on canvas, and the shadowy/sketchy texture is really unique. She's also a bit more pink than her counterpart. Blush Bungalow has a really unique tone on tone/texture on texture affect, with the dabs of acrylic paint over the more taupey watercolor. (Or hey, get both!)
